TRANSFERRING UV'S AND GENERAL DESIGN

Selections from email...

As far as -what- he looks like, well, that's all up to you. You should do some sketches to figure out the design. Add little details at his knees and elbows. Perhaps the green on his lower half is darker or spotted. Does he have green nipples? Does he have creases or spots or some detail on his forehead? On the sides of his head? Toe nails? Finger nails? Play around. Maybe his belly is a slightly different color.

I would suggest, though, that you make your maps .tif files. IBM format. LZW compression on. Targas take up too much memory.

As for your character looking flat, that's okay if that's what you want. Also, the lighting of the character is a big part of bringing him out.

* But now that we have our UV set made, we need to "transfer" it to the other morph shapes. So, select TimmyBody first and then TimmyAI. Under Modeling select Polygons > Transfer > Options > UV Sets

(You might also want to select: Edit Polygons > Normals > Soften/Harden > Options > All Soft)

Do this for -each- target. When you're done, select all the targets and delete the history. Edit > Delete by Type > History.

Now all of your morph targets have the same UV set and are ready to be blended together.
