FAQNow's the time to send me
your questions...
I don't use Maya. Is that a
problem?
- No. I offered up Maya as a standard. It will be difficult finding people able to help out with certain tasks. Given that, I need to set some parameters. But if you're going to do all of your work yourself, then you can use whatever software you like. Or pencil and paper. I don't care. Is this for fun or for profit? - This is a test. I have no idea if or how we will all work together. I want people to have fun. But I also think it would be a good idea to produce material that will be marketable. While I plan on keeping this project open, I will make suggestions in the hopes of directing this project to certain ends. Whether or not you listen to my advice is up to you. How are you maintaining consistency? - I'm not. This project is about diversity. The only hard limitation will concern delivery of final images. What type of questions will you be asking? - I have some questions scribbled down, but I haven't settled on any just yet. I did some comics a few years ago which this new project is modeled after. Do you want all takes of each question or just the one that we think we like the best? I'm also assuming that we should be doing them in the voice of our character. - Because this project is so amorphous, there will be different deadlines for different people. Right now all you need to worry about is getting your name and design straightened out. After that, I will give you a deadline for the next step. - I'm not going to pick which audio takes you animate to, unless you ask me to. As the director of your individual piece, it's up to you to record the best stuff you can and pick the best out of it. I would like a piece of animation for each question. If you choose to provide multiple or multi-part answers to a question, that'd be great. If you can only get to answer half the questions, I'll take what I can get out of you. - The audio you record will be the performance of your monster, in character. If you happen to sound like a monster, or think your voice would be appropriate, then that's your decision. Posted: Mon - June 6, 2005 at 03:42 PM |
